Ok we don’t have a cockamouse.  At least, not that I know of.  For those of you who don’t know (which is maybe, like, one of you?) D and I recently bought a house.  We’re still getting used to it and we’ve got about a bajillionty updates that we want to make to it but basically we love it.  It’s a little old and needs some love, but we agreed when we bought it that we were committing to purchasing the house and all of the problems that go with it.  The lawn that needs mowing, the walls that need painting, the mouse that apparently needs to be fed.

Yeah – mouse.  Now, we haven’t actually seen the little critter, but we had a package of hamburger buns on the counter and D noticed that the dog had gotten to them.  But wait – they’ve been on the counter!  And they’re chewed up, but the bag’s not torn open.  There’s only a tiny little hole in the bag, and the Pug is *definitely* not a dainty eater.  Soooo…in the end, there’s kind of only one conclusion.  We’re pretty sure we have a mouse.

I made D promise, though, that he won’t hurt the mouse.  After all, it’s not the mouse’s fault that it’s…well, kind of gross.  It’s just being mouse-like.  So we’re researching mouse-friendly mouse trap methods.  Oh the joys of homeownership!
